Human cDNA and ORF Plasmid Clones

Through generous donations, the DGRC has 8000+ individual full-length cDNA and protein-coding ORF reagents in plasmid constructs representing over 7,000 human genes.

Searching for Human cDNA and ORF Reagents

Search for human reagents using the human gene symbol, reagent RRID, or clone name. Enter your search term into the search bar at the top of every DGRC page.

Try: TP53, FXR1, EGFR, RRID:DGRC_1672213, hGUHO10866

You can also download a list of all human reagents available at the DGRC.

About the Human Gene Collection

The collection includes individual full-length cDNA and protein-coding ORF reagents in plasmid constructs.

Open an individual clone record to review:

  • Gene symbol and RRID
  • Gene information, including Entrez Gene and HGNC identifiers
  • Sequence information
  • Base vector
  • Protein tag

Researchers are responsible for confirming that a clone and vector are suitable for their intended application.

Before you order

DGRC supplies each clone as a bacterial agar stab, not as a transfection-ready plasmid preparation. The receiving laboratory is responsible for recovering the plasmid DNA and verifying the clone before use.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. The collection is available to qualified academic, nonprofit, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and other research organizations.
Search by gene symbol or RRID, open the individual clone record, confirm its specifications, and follow the ordering instructions.
DGRC supplies each clone as a bacterial agar stab. The receiving laboratory must recover the plasmid DNA and verify the clone before use.

Citing the DGRC

When publishing experiments using materials obtained from the DGRC please follow the citation guidelines on the material's stock page, including citing the Drosophila Genomics Resource Center, supported by NIH grant 2P40OD010949, in the acknowledgments. Your cooperation helps us when we need to renew our grant as well as the researchers that submit reagents to the DGRC.
