Frequently Asked Questions about User IDs and Lab Accounts

Who can create a DGRC Lab Account?

We ask that Principal Investigators (PIs) of labs set up their own DGRC Lab Accounts, and then invite lab members and institutional purchasing agents whom they would like to have access, so that they can place and pay for orders. Information regarding DGRC User IDs and DGRC Lab Accounts can be found on the DGRC Account Creation Overview page. Please contact DGRC Help if you have additional questions.

How do I create a DGRC User ID?

  • Read the PI Instructions if you are a PI and Lab Member Instructions if you are not.
  • Select the "Create a User ID and password" link.
  • Fill out the form, using your university email address.
  • Use your own name and contact information. Do not create an ID for someone else using your own email address.
  • You will receive a confirmation email with a link. This link expires after 72 hours. After that time, you will need to restart the process.
  • Follow the confirmation link in the email to the "Account Request Confirmation" page.
  • Choose a password for your DGRC account and click the "Confirm DGRC Account Request" button.
  • At the top right corner, select "Sign In."
  • Enter your email address and password and select "Sign In."
  • Select the appropriate account type. If you are not the Principal Investigator (PI) (i.e. the head of the lab) then do not select "Yes, I am a Principal Investigator"

How do I create a DGRC Lab Account?

Note: Only the Principal Investigator (PI), or the head of the lab, should create a DGRC Lab Account.
A DGRC Lab Account can only be created by the Principal Investigator (PI) (i.e. the head) of a lab. After creating the Lab Account, the PI can then delegate purchasing activities to the members of the lab by inviting them the join the Lab Account. This arrangement is necessary in order for us to comply with our intellectual property, legal, and financial obligations. If you have questions or need assistance, then please contact us through DGRC Help.

  • The DGRC recently switched from User IDs to email addresses. You may be using your old User ID. Log in using the email address associated with your DGRC account. If you can't remember the email address associated with your account, select the "Lost Email Help" link under the "Sign In" form and follow the instructions.
